Burgandie, Veterinary Assistant

In high school I attended Zoo School, Science Focus program at the Lincoln children’s zoo. From there I attended UNL to get my Bachelors degree in Companion Animal Science.

I recently went to Africa for a spay/neuter program. This was my first time leaving the country and it was a great learning experience. While I was there I assisted in sedating and prepping pets (dogs and cats) for surgery and in recovery. After the spay/neuter clinic I stayed an additional week at the vet clinic, All Creatures Animal Welfare Trust, to help with appointments, surgeries (as an example a pin placement in a broken leg), as well as take care of hospitalized patients and all the dogs awaiting adoption in their hospital. (also performed a necropsy :D)

I have 3 pets (2 cats and 1 dog): cats Delores and Elliott,  and Haze, a Staffordshire terrier. My hobbies include anything outside, biking, running, hiking, 4 wheeling, jet-skiing ect, making things, and painting.

We devote ourselves to being knowledgeable and progressive through continuing education and veterinary relationships. In this way, your pet will receive the most up-to-date and thorough medicine, while ensuring confidence in your pet's care.
